Japanese design, British craftsmanship
The Sapporo Bed takes inspiration from Japanese minimalist design but adds a softer, more rugged texture through its upholstered borders. The low profile, clean lines, and thoughtful proportions create a sense of calm in the bedroom — a piece of furniture designed around the ritual of good sleep rather than visual drama.
Texture you can feel
The upholstered borders are what separate the Sapporo from a standard low-profile bed frame. The fabric wraps the edges in a deep, padded finish that softens the architectural lines and gives the whole piece a more tactile, lived-in feeling. It's the detail that makes the bed feel made for a home, not for a showroom.
Every Sapporo is handmade in our UK workshop on a kiln-dried hardwood frame with a sprung slatted base.

Delivery informationIs a mattress included?
A mattress is optional. Choose one in the configurator and its price is added to your total. If you have your own, select No mattress and check that its size matches the bed.
Will the photos change with my fabric?
Photos show example finishes. Your chosen fabric and colour are recorded with your order; use fabric swatches to check the finish in your own light.
Assembly & care
Check your delivery service before ordering if you need help with assembly. For everyday care, gently vacuum upholstery with a soft brush attachment and blot spills promptly.
